I am sure we've all heard about climate change but how is it affecting our planet





What is climate change. Well Climate change is the process of our planet heating


up. Earth has only





heated up by 1.c in the last century. But they call the amazon forest the lungs of the planet because %20





of the earth's oxygen comes from the amazon rainforest.


What causes climate





change? Burning fossil fuels. Over the past 150 years. Industrial countries have been burning fossil fuels





such as … oil,diesel cole,gas,petrol.


Also the sea levels have been rising because


the Glaciers are





melting the reason they are melting is climate change and climate change made the temperature of





the earth go up by 1.c


in a century. There will be more floods and sea life can't live in warm water


So in conclusion i





believe you should stop using fossil fuels. and my three main points are Glaciers melting and flooding low

Caged Chickens Should Be Band

we are learning structure.

I enjoyed brainstorming it.

I found i hard to edit it.

How would you feel if you were caged up in a cage the size of an A4 piece of paper?

Well, I know that I would not want to live in a tiny cage. But that's what they are doing to these poor chickens.

One of my reasons are that %82 of new zealand are caged and %17 are free range chickens they also get diseases such as atromenoses which weakens your bones so if you just flicked it it would probably break the chicken wing bone. Also fatty liver disease.

God's Creations

In Room 1 we are looking after God's creation (trees and
plants) and are trying to help bees. We are also planting
native plants. We also planted some more flowers a few
days ago. I took some photos of the plants we planted.

Mary MacKillop

Mary Mackillop

Mary Helen MacKillop was a Australian nun who has been declared a saint by the Catholic church. She was born in Melbourne. Her feast day is the 8 of August. She was born on the 15th of january 1842 and died   on the 8th of August 1909.She became a saint in 1995 after a woman prayed to her and said that her cancer disappeared.Pope Benedict XVI recognized MacKillop. She was recognized that October.

We are learning about bees.
I enjoyed reading the facts about bees.
i found it hard to get the right size for the slide.

Winter

Today I was learning write descriptively.

I enjoyed brainstorming adjectives, juicy verbs, and specific nouns.

I found it challenging to use a simile and personification.

My digital learning object shows an image of winter.

Next time I would add similes.

Frosty freezing branches waved through the wind. Stiff
icy grass cracked as people walked pass. Grey cloudy sky groaned in the wind.

Fizz,Foam and Froth

We are learning how to make things fizz,foam and froth.
I enjoyed doing the experiment because I love doing them I liked learning how to make things fizz, foam and froth.
I found it challenging to write about it.

Fizz, foam and froth

Have you ever wondered what makes fizz foam and froth? A physical change is when say there is water and you freeze it.I t will turn into ice. But you can change it back to water. A chemical change is irreversible. The first thing you need to do is to label the cups then pour in baking soda then add white vinegar. Leave it there for an hour. Then it should start to fizz foam and froth. It fizzes, foams and froths because of the baking soda and white vinegar. That is a chemical change.

Padre Pio was compassionate and kind to everyone He brought people god’s forgiveness and peace the sacrament of reconciliation.He even had the gift of reading hearts .once padre pio heard the confession of a young polish priest.pio told the priest that someday he would become pope.This polish priest was none other than pope john paul ll!

Saint pio of pietrelcina is a saint that helps god with miracles and he cures people that are ill.



He built a hospital to help the sick and suffering, especially with the people that are poor. He offered God his own suffering so that as many people as possible would go to heaven. Padre pio died on september 23, 1968. Pope John paul canonized him on june 16, 2002.
